The documents, which are equivalent to today's telephone directories, are available to view at Spelthorne Museum in Elmsleigh Road, Staines.
The Thames Club in Wheatsheaf Lane, Staines, is bucking recession trends by announcing 20 new jobs.
As part of the fitness club's £1.8m redevelopment, 20 full and part time posts will be created in the restaurant, gym and spa when the new centre is finished at the end of the summer.
Firefighters had to cut off the water and electricty in a flat in Simmons Place, Staines when it flooded on Thursday January 22.
Police broke into the home at about 8.45pm as no-one was in and emergency services were on the scene for about an hour-and-a-half removing the water.
A charity that provides respite for carers has been refused planning permission to build two temporary buildings at St Peter's Church in Laleham Road, Staines.
Daybreak, which looks after 22 elderly and disabled people in the church hall every Tuesday to give carers a break, wanted the buildings for office space but Spelthorne Council planning officers have rejected the proposal so staff will continue working in the church office.
Prison officers had to break a lock at Staines Magistrates Court in Knowle Green to free a prisoner who was trapped in a holding cell on Monday January 26.
The lock was jammed when he was due to be taken to court at about 12.30pm so officers called firefighters to help release him.
But when crews arrived some five minutes later, the prison officers had already broken the lock and taken the defendant out.
Firefighters extinguished a blaze in a car engine on the clockwise M25 between junction 12 at Thorpe and 13 at Staines on Thursday (22) at about 2.45pm.
No-one was hurt in the incident.
