Defendant trapped in cell

Posted by Adam Courtney on Jan 27, 09 03:13 PM in Crime

Prison officers had to break a lock at Staines Magistrates Court in Knowle Green to free a prisoner who was trapped in a holding cell on Monday January 26.

The lock was jammed when he was due to be taken to court at about 12.30pm so officers called firefighters to help release him.

But when crews arrived some five minutes later, the prison officers had already broken the lock and taken the defendant out.

We'd like to hear from you.
