Planning blow for charity
A charity that provides respite for carers has been refused planning permission to build two temporary buildings at St Peter's Church in Laleham Road, Staines.
Daybreak, which looks after 22 elderly and disabled people in the church hall every Tuesday to give carers a break, wanted the buildings for office space but Spelthorne Council planning officers have rejected the proposal so staff will continue working in the church office.
