Staines curry house sponsors Llamas FC
The under-14 team at Staines Llamas FC will be kitted out in a top-of-the-range kit for their cup quarter-final on Sunday after securing a sponsorship deal with an Indian restaurant.
Gurdeep Chatha, owner of Roshnis in Clarence Street, Staines, forked out £1,200 to buy a new Nike kit for the team after team manager Gary Tomany Ð who was doing building work at the restaurant Ð told him their shirts were almost unwearable.
The team has gone from strength to strength in their new colours and Mr Chatha has become their biggest fan, taking time out of his busy schedule to watch them play.
He said: "I thought it was a good thing to get involved with and when I can I get down to see them play. They are chuffed with the kit and are doing really well this season and I hope the kit has something to do with it."
