Burglars steal goods from three Staines flats

Burglars gained entry to three flats in Staines last Tuesday July 14 during broad daylight.

Surrey Police are appealing for witnesses after three flats were targeted between 11am and 2pm in the Moormead Estate and Kingston and London Road areas.

There were also two flats where the burglars failed to gain entry, but jewellery, watches, cash, cameras, computer games, and laptops were stolen from the other three.

Spelthorne Neighbourhood Inspector Sarah Greenhalgh said: "The offenders probably entered the flats by ringing a buzzer. I would urge people living in flats to be vigilante and check who is there before letting them in.

"There is a lot of CCTV in the town centre so we will look to see what vehicles were parked at the time."
