Staines flat burglars were buzzed in by neighbours

Posted by Steve Bax on Aug 11, 09 12:19 PM in Crime

Burglars who broke into three Staines flats during the daytime are believed to have been 'buzzed in' by neighbours.

Police are appealing for witnesses after properties in the Moormead Estate and Kingston and London Road areas were broken into between 11am and 2pm on Tuesday, July 14.

There were also two flats where the burglars failed to gain entry, but jewellery, watches, cash, cameras, computer games, and laptops were stolen from the other three.

Spelthorne neighbourhood inspector Sarah Greenhalgh said: "The offenders probably entered the flats after ringing an entry buzzer. I would urge people living in flats to be vigilant and check who is there before letting them in."

Anyone with information should call the police on 0845 125 2222.
