Staines rotary raise money in charity quiz night
More than £500 was raised for local charities on Thursday September 17 at a quiz evening held in Staines.
Staines Rotary Club held the charity night in Staines Community Centre to raise money for a number of charities, including Voluntary Action in Staines.
The event was the second event of its type this year, and the club have raised money for the Alzheimer's Charity, and family support organisation Homestart.
Club president David Boucher said: "We are keen to see the focus remain on those smaller charities who can most benefit from the rotary club's assistance, and it will continue to be part of the clubs ongoing strategy to do so."
The club are holding a music evening on Saturday November 21 in St Peters Church, in Laleham Road, Staines in aid of family charity Daybreak.
The evening will see the Royal Air Force band, The Liberators perform.
