Shop workers dress in pink for charity
Staff in the Elmsleigh Centre dressed up in pink to raise money for Breast Cancer Care on Friday October 30.
Eight stores in the centre, including the Body Shop, Card Factory, Claire's Accessories, and Marks & Spencer all took part, where members of staff dressed in pink outfits.
The other stores included Clinton Cards, Fragrance Shop, New Look, and Beauty Base, but it is unknown how much money was raised at this time.
Peter Miles, centre manager at Elmsleigh, said: "It was great to see that despite money being a bit tighter this year, staff at our stores went pink and helped to raise money for a very worthy cause. I want to say a big thank you to everyone here who took part, and all the shoppers who helped our contribution. I hope our efforts go some way to helping such an important charity continue the amazing work they do."
Shoppers were also encouraged to make donations on the day in exchange for pink eye, lips, and nail makeovers, which were provided by Beauty Base and Body Shop.
