Staines caravan gutted by fire

A caravan was completely destroyed by arsonists on the morning of Sunday November 29.

At half an hour past midnight, fire fighters from Staines were called to St Mary's Avenue and used two men wearing breathing apparatus to put out the blaze.

The caravan was severely damaged inside, along with several items of property.

The police arrived after the fire men had doused the flames, and Staines CID detectives are treating it as arson for the time being.

They are working with the fire service to carry out an investigation.
