Man exposes himself to woman in WH Smiths in Staines

The man came up to her and pulled down his trousers, exposing his penis, but did not speak to or touch the woman.

She then quickly alerted the store manager, but by the time they had returned to the spot, the offender had left.

Staff then called Surrey Police, but despite a large search, they could not locate him.

Detective John Hobbs, who is leading the investigation, said: "Fortunately the young female victim was not harmed during the incident but it was clearly a distressing experience for her.

"Given the prominent location and time of day when this offence occurred I am certain people who were in the area at the time would remember the suspect, so the need to contact us with any information."

The man is described as a white male in his 50s with cropped black hair which was turning grey, and being around 5ft 4ins tall.

He was wearing a blue waist length jacket, dark blue jeans and black trainers.
